My introduction to Christian Science...

My introduction to Christian Science took place about twelve years ago, and many blessings have come to me and my family as the result of studying this wonderful Science.

For practically a year I had suffered from what was diagnosed as an internal cyst. I had had several operations with no beneficial results. When Christian Science was presented to me, I felt that if God could not help me, nothing could. The Christian Science practitioner whom I went to see told me that God loved me, that in reality He had made me in His image and likeness, spiritual and perfect, and that He is the only cause and creator.

I accepted this, and for the next few days, while the practitioner prayed for me, I continually thanked God for making me spiritual and perfect in His image and likeness. I read from "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and also from her other writings.
