"I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry" (Ps. 40:1). I shall never cease being grateful to the dear friend who first told me of Christian Science and showed me how to use the truth Mrs. Eddy so lovingly gave to all.

For years I had suffered with throat trouble which the doctors had been unable to cure. Not long after my coming into Christian Science a very bad attack presented itself, but through the help of my friend, I had a wonderful healing. This thought was helpful to me (Science and Health, p. 1): "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love."

At another time I was quickly healed of mumps when I clung to the words of a hymn (Christian Science Hymnal, No. 175),
