Rhyl, Flintshire, Wales: (First Church).

First Church of Christ, Scientist, Rhyl, located on the Coast Road, is being dedicated on Sunday next, March 3, at the usual times of service.

Christian Science was introduced to this district in 1920 by two women who held services in a private room in Dyserth. These services were transferred a few years later to rooms in Prestatyn, and these continued until 1929, when they were transferred to Bodfor Street, Rhyl, where this group was recognized by The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, as a Christian Science Society in 1936.

As spiritual understanding unfolded, the need for the society's own church building became desirable; so a plot of ground was purchased in 1953 on the Coast Road, Rhyl, and building began the same year, which was completed in the following year. The first service was held in the new church on October 24, 1954. This society was recognized as First Church of Christ, Scientist, Rhyl, in January, 1957.
