It is with a deep sense of gratitude that I joyfully take this opportunity to describe some of the many healings that I have had from the study of Christian Science. When I found this Science, I knew that it was the truth. There had been much illness, frequent medications, and several operations in our family. Years of searching, many heartaches, and disillusionments had made me longingly receptive to the good and beautiful way of Life found in this wonderful Science. I have never had any doubt of the truth that Christian Science is a pure message from God Himself, which if faithfully followed will bring a solution to any problem.

Through the assistance of practitioners, I have been healed of an internal hemorrhage. Family relationships have been purified, difficult financial problems have been solved, and I have gained a better understanding of God, the universe, and man. Once, when I appeared to be passing on, I held firmly to the first part of Mrs. Eddy's definition of "Church" (Science and Health, p. 583): "The structure of Truth and Love; whatever rests upon and proceeds from divine Principle." I was enabled to hold on to a sense of Life, and before long I was well.

At another time I severely injured one leg. It was not convenient to call for a practitioner; so I prayerfully turned to God and picked up a copy of Prose Works by Mrs. Eddy. The book fell open to the article entitled "Spirit and Law," which begins on page 256 of "Miscellaneous Writings." I was housemother to several children, and knowing that I had to get them up and dressed for school the next day, I studied earnestly. Through the study of this one article alone I was able to remove all fear and thus reduce the inflammation and soreness. It was four o'clock in the morning when I lay down to sleep. At five I wakened and read the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly as usual. I bathed, dressed, and was ready for the children on time. The complete healing followed.
