NOTHING LESS THAN LOVE

"We are never justified in expressing anything less than Love." This was the angel message which came to a Christian Scientist when he was called to the home of a Sunday School pupil who had suddenly started to experience difficulty in breathing and had lost the use of his eyes and then of the rest of his body.

As the Scientist entered the room, the lad lapsed into unconsciousness after feebly calling for his mother, who was bravely striving to rise above a sense of terror. Turning to God in prayer and humbly, earnestly asking his Father to tell him what angel message was needed to bring healing, the Scientist waited and listened for the answer. It came in these words: "We are never justified in expressing anything less than Love."

At first he did not see just how this statement of truth applied to the situation, but he felt the presence of the Christ and a clear sense of peace and confidence in the infinite love and the power of God. He told the parents of the statement which had come to him, repeating it several times as more and more of its significance dawned on him.
