GRATITUDE UNLIMITED
The Apostle Paul wrote (II Cor. 9:8), "God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work."
Gratitude is a lovely quality, allied with grace and joy. Gratitude in the heart impels one to want to be good and do good. We can nurture in ourselves the grace of gratitude not only by words of thanks, but by active deeds of love and kindness. Gratitude is a positive quality. It helps us to reverse the false belief that good is material and limited.
When human consciousness is imbued with spiritual understanding and gratitude, thought becomes purged of false beliefs of self and expresses more freedom and dominion. One's progress is measured by one's increased spirituality of outlook, by a desire to put gratitude into action. Joyful Service in the Cause of Christian Science is an evidence of one's gratitude for benefactions received.
