GATHERING THE HARVEST
In human experience the farmer must sow his seeds if he would reap the harvest. But the period between the sowing and the reaping requires consistent work, alertness, and confident expectation.
What is the harvest hour in Christian Science? It is not a time of year, but an awakening to God's ever-presence and to His provision of unlimited resources for all of His ideas. And this awakening always comes as the result of prayer, watching, working, and the expectation of good.
It requires patience to wait for the moment of harvest. When the error in human consciousness has been exposed, it is ripe for destruction. Then the fruits of work well done will be at hand. In the home, in business, in the community, and in national affairs there are often evidences that error needs correction. But the healing and harvest will always come through the understanding which reveals error to be unreal and through the joyous adoption of the facts of spiritual existence.
