I have had many proofs of God's constant care since my first testimony was published in the Sentinel of January 13, 1951, and I wish to express again my gratitude.

One such proof was the healing of a painful condition I had had over a period of twenty years. For a while I felt overhelmed by discouragement, and my husband was insisting that I have medical attention. But as I turned wholeheartedly to God, I was strengthened in my desire to rely entirely on Christian Science.

It was lovingly pointed out to me that I needed to remove a false sense of self-justification from my thinking. This sentence on page 242 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy helped me to do so: "In patient obedience to a patient God, let us labor to dissolve with the universal solvent of Love the adamant of error,—self-will, self-justification, and self-love,—which wars against spirituality and is the law of sin and death." The physical healing followed immediately.
