Church Dedications

Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

The Haddon Gazette

Haddonfield, New Jersey (First Church).

Twenty-five years ago, ground was broken for the present Christian Science church located at Sylvan Lake Avenue and Kings Highway, Haddonfield. On Sunday [June 16, 1957], the edifice ... will be dedicated.

The first meeting of the local group was held October 20, 1930, at the home of one of the members. In November, the property at 405 Haddon Avenue was rented, including ample room for the Sunday School and Reading Room. The first regular service was held Sunday, December 20.
