At a time when I felt very much depressed and unable to gain any sense of the meaning of life, I turned to a friend whom I knew to be a student of Christian Science. He took me to a Christian Science lecture in London, England, and I knew at once that I had found what I had been looking for. As a result, some time later my wife and two friends accompanied me to the local branch Church of Christ, Scientist, where later on we all became members.

During the past twenty-five years Christian Science has been my only physician, help, and guide. Of the many healings I have had, I think the first ones are those which stand out most in my thoughts. Apart from the instantaneous healing of the smoking habit, my first healing was that of eye trouble.

I had for many years been wearing glasses and had been told I should gradually be requiring stronger lenses. Soon after I began the study of Christian Science, I found myself forgetting my glasses. Moreover, I was able to do without them, something which before had been impossible. Today my sight is better than it has ever been. I have come to realize that true seeing is of God.
