Christ Jesus,
our incomparable Master, left to us a rich legacy—the priceless treasure of his comforting Beatitudes; and he left these jeweled blessings to us for one vital purpose: to be used in our daily lives.

The purpose of the radio and television series "How Christian Science Heals" is to aid in correcting misconceptions regarding Christian Science and thus fulfill the central function assigned the Committee on Publication in the Manual of The Mother Church by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy.
Officers of branch churches and individuals who have occasion to correspond with The Christian Science Board of Directors, with the Clerk and the Treasurer of The Mother Church, and with the heads of departments of The Mother Church Offices are requested always to place their addresses on their letters and to write their signatures plainly.
At a meeting in 1879, on motion of Mary Baker Eddy, it was voted, "To organize a church designed to commemorate the word and works of our Master, which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing".
A sense of deep gratitude for the innumerable blessings which have come into my life through the study of Christian Science prompts me to send this testimony.
