Many years ago I turned to...
Many years ago I turned to Christian Science as a last resort for the healing of a supposedly incurable intestinal disorder. I had been under the care of two physicians for an extended period of time, but my condition did not improve; it steadily grew worse until I finally was confined to my bed in a pitiful condition, both physically and mentally.
At this time I did not know anything about the healing efficacy of Christian Science. A friend who was not a student of this Science recommended it, informing me that it does not prescribe drugs of any nature and for that reason it could do me no harm. This same kind friend got in touch with a practitioner for me, and through her devoted efforts I was completely healed of the intestinal disorder almost forty years ago. I am grateful to the practitioners for the loving help they have extended to me during the many years that I have been a student of Christian Science.
My thanks go out to God for the weekly Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, which are a constant inspiration to me, and for the divine guidance and protection that I have experienced through the application of Christian Science. I am also grateful for the privilege of membership in The Mother Church and a branch church.—(Mrs.) Mae H. Wollthan, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
