AMBASSADORS FOR CHRIST AT THE UNIVERSITY

Paul's words, "ambassadors for Christ" (II Cor. 5:20), might be a good title for young Christian Scientists to adopt at colleges and universities. Theirs is a ministry that becomes increasingly significant because of the influence that today's institutions of higher learning exert upon the human events of tomorrow.

A closer examination of the precious message of hope and salvation that the ambassador for Christ offers humanity is always helpful. St. Paul puts the message in these plain words in the same verse: "Be ye reconciled to God." Blending thought with Mind, subduing material sense with Soul, finding real satisfaction in Life, being governed by Principle, motivated by Love, purified by Spirit, strengthened by Truth, is to be reconciled to God. This reconciliation with God is the present possibility of attainment which the faithful ambassador wishes to share with others.

How does the collegian go about this all-important mission? The Christianly scientific student can begin at once to lift his experience above the turmoil of the carnal mind by dwelling in the great truth that Mary Baker Eddy sets forth in "the scientific statement of being" on page 468 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," namely, "All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all."
