I feel I should give a testimony of my healing through Christian Science. I was troubled with indigestion, heart trouble, chronic constipation, and hardening of the arteries. For three and a half years I had been going to two different doctors. Both doctors said that I would have to take medicine as long as I lived.

Instead of getting better, I was growing worse. I could not eat certain foods without becoming sick. At last, fearing I might have a cancer, I consulted my sister-in-law and a neighbor as to what they thought about my trying Christian Science. They said, "It will do you no harm."

I telephoned a practitioner and asked her if she could help me, as I was very sick. She replied that she could give me an absent treatment, but I arranged to see her that evening. She loaned me the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I got up the next morning feeling fine. I cooked a bowl of oatmeal and ate some Bologna sausage. Those were two of the foods I could not eat before I went to the practitioner, but I felt no ill effects.
