"This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it" (Ps. 118:24).

"We will rejoice and be glad in it," says the Psalmist of God's day. ... If the sentence had read, "We shall be glad," it could mean that just as a matter of course we shall be glad. But we will means that we are determined to rejoice. . . .
