LIFT HIGH THE TORCH!

"God said, Let there be light: and there was light."
No glow of lesser lights nor solar rays
illumined the wide corridors of space,
but all creation, bathed in radiance,
sang in the presence of omnipotence.
Though chaos challenges the cosmos, yet
no discord mars the infinite regime.
God's glorious mandate stands: "Let there be light."

Forged on the anvil of delusive sin,
enslavement shapes its subtle-patterned snare,
yet, one by one, into Love's orbit Christ
will draw the seekers. Evil's mask is riven.
Listen! From out the dungeons of despair
is heard the anguished cry. "Send out thy light."

The morning star has risen in the
east the healing Christ is here to claim its own.
Lift high the torch to signal world release!
Truth lights the way and holds the vital spark
of faith, rekindling hope within the hearts
where darkness would impose a spurious reign.
The myriad lamps of earth, fear-smoked and dim,
are but false beacons in a starless night;
but Mind's immortal legions, love-illumed,
re-echo God's decree, "Let there be light."
