In the year 1932 I lost my business
In the year 1932 I lost my business. Owing to this loss, I got months behind in my rent. In addition, our little daughter, unable to swallow any food, was seriously ill. I had a conviction that if I would but humbly and sincerely turn to God, Love, as we know Him in Christian Science, I would find that all things are possible. Christ Jesus said (John 15:7), "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."
One day I received a notice from our patient landlord to vacate the house by a certain date. Being without the necessary funds even to pay for moving, I cried aloud: "O God, what can I do?" Instantly I was led to read the thirty-fourth Psalm. I read this Psalm over and over. It seemed to be written especially for me.
