"This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it" (Ps. 118:24). These words prompt me to join the grateful, happy throng of those who express their thanks for Christian Science.

When I first learned of Christian Science I had been suffering severely for some time from what five doctors diagnosed as appendicitis and gall-bladder trouble. A date for an operation was set, but before it arrived a Christian Science practitioner was called for help. In three days I was completely healed, and the operation was canceled.

On December 7, 1941, when our country was attacked, my son was serving in the Navy at Pearl Harbor. Terrifying radio reports came in of burning ships, tragedy, and havoc. I turned to God and to the comforting truths in the Bible and in Mrs. Eddy's writings for help. These truths had been so instilled into my thoughts through daily study of the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly, that now every report of carnage was immediately challenged by a spiritual truth.
