"IN THE SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH"

In perfect trust I lay me down,
Safe in the circle of God's love.
It is His will that quietude
A deeper quiet win and prove.
His wish that angels, ministering,
Protect the truth thereof.

Thus, folded in His might, I rest,
Strong in assurances divine.
And lo, Love's heart-close neighborhood
Expands, till all I know as mine—
Perspective of the infinite—
Patterns life's whole design.
