It is with sincere gratitude for the many blessings Christian Science has brought me that I give this testimony. About a year ago I was taken ill. As I was employed on a government railway, it was necessary for a doctor to see me. He told me that I had had a paralytic stroke and that it would be a long time before I would recover.

When I reached my home, my wife asked me if I was willing to let her call a Christian Science practi tioner. I replied that I was. As soon as the practitioner arrived she helped me to overcome my fear by telling me of God's presence and of His love for me. She said that it was not God's will that I should be ill. I must have had an instantaneous healing, for on the following morning I was able to dress and walk freely about the house. All symptoms of paralysis left me, and I was happier and in better health than before.

I now study daily the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly and am much helped by the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. — George James Dawson, Kimberley, Cape Province, South Africa.
