With a deep and humble desire to glorify God, I wish to contribute my testimony of gratitude for the many blessings I have had since taking up the study of Christian Science. My first healing was that of an internal growth, which the doctor said would cause invalidism, and for which an operation had been scheduled. I was bent double, unable to stand upright.

At the time, I was living in the home of a student of Christian Science, although I knew nothing of this religion myself. I cried out my story of ill-health to this student, and before I had finished all I wanted to tell her, she said, "Dear, do not repeat this to anyone again." The healing was instantaneous, and I found myself standing upright and free, with tears streaming down my cheeks. I felt as though I had been lifted out of a pit. When the doctor returned and examined me he could find no trace of the growth. That was over twenty-five years ago, and there has been no return of the trouble.

The Christian Scientist who had healed me gave me some of her literature and sent me to a Reading Room to get the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. From that day to this my every need has been met through Christian Science. Numerous healings in my home have taken place, such as those of migraine, blood poisoning, and influenza. In addition, the smoking habit of many years' standing has been overcome.
