One Sunday morning I awakened in much discomfort. Knowing that Truth heals, I thought of Mrs. Eddy's words (Science and Health, p. 463), "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." I then took my Christian Science Hymnal and pondered Mrs. Eddy's seven hymns. By the time I had finished, the discord had vanished, and I went joyfully on my way to church.

One evening I twisted my ankle. The pain was so intense that I could not move for a few moments. Then I made my way into the house and onto the davenport, where I repeated "the scientific statement of being." found on page 468 of our textbook. Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I thought of the man of God's creation, as mentioned in the first chapter of Genesis, and knew that an idea of God cannot possibly fall. The Bible says (Deut. 33: 27), "The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms."

As the difficulty continued to give trouble the next morning, I telephoned that I would be unable to come to work until noon. Then I studied the lesson and applied the truth as we are taught in Christian Science. At twelve o'clock I drove to work. By night I was again walking with very little discomfort, and after a few days a complete healing was experienced.
