I have had numerous healings through perusing the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. At one time I was suffering from a skin rash to which ointments had been vainly applied over a long period. I meditated on the statements I had read about divine Love, trying to understand just what Love is. I happened to glance into a mirror and was amazed to see that the inflamed skin was yielding to a normal, healthy condition.

Later, while ill, I experienced the reward of persistent study of Truth, as it is explained in the textbook. We read on page 102, "Animal magnetism has no scientific foundation, for God governs all that is real, harmonious, and eternal, and His power is neither animal nor human." The words "God governs" filled my consciousness with an unspeakable feeling of elation, and every vestige of the sickness left me in an instant. I felt completely apart from material sense, and I found myself thinking, "This is what I have been searching for." Some months later resentment was instantaneously overcome when the words, "No idea in Mind can injure another," came to my thought.

These initial healings which occurred about twenty years ago have been constant reminders of the power and presence of tender, gentle, universal divine Love.
