For many years I have been benefited by the inspired testimonies appearing in the Christian Science periodicals. My gratitude for them and for all the healings and blessings I have received prompts me to add my testimony of the healing power of Truth. From childhood I had been considered delicate. Fatigue, colds, bronchial trouble, and nervous disorders were always appearing. Consequently I had a tendency to be gloomy.

Eighteen years ago, when home and supply were disappearing from my experience and I was greatly discouraged, my mother, who had visited in the home of a Christian Science relative, asked me if I would like to try Science. I was willing to try anything, as I thought I was at the end of everything, but I soon learned that I was just at the beginning of a new and much better life.

This relative was called, and she came to see me, bringing two copies of the Sentinel. The love, hope, and courage she poured forth seemed too good to be true. That evening I enjoyed dinner for the first time in months. Shortly, a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy was loaned to me by the Christian Science Reading Room, and I read it from cover to cover. I also attended a Church of Christ, Scientist, and began studying the weekly Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. There were times when discouragement tempted me to turn back, but through the loving help of my relative and other Christian Scientists, the Christ, Truth, led me on.
