INOFFENSIVENESS
Paul recognized that inoffensiveness is a corollary, or crowning portion, of a sustained Christian zeal. For he counseled the Corinthians to give "no offence in any thing, that the ministry be not blamed" (II Cor. 6:3).
Inoffensiveness is that which gives no provocation, which causes no uneasiness; that which does no harm or mischief; that which never misses the mark; that which does not deal treacherously or cause to stumble; that which does not strike against truth, or bring about a lapse from perfection; that which does not lead to sin.
Mortals are inoffensive in the degree of their spirituality. The dematerialization of human consciousness, the separation of a material sense of life from the spiritual, forwards the footsteps of humanity in this right direction.
