"It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High" (Ps. 92:1). Many years ago I was told by physicians that the stoppage of the bowels from which I suffered could be cured only by an operation. I was about to consent to this when my employer asked me to try Christian Science first. Although I did not believe it would cure me, to please him I called on a practitioner, and I was instantaneously healed of the condition.

Pernicious anemia did not yield so readily. It was nearly a year before I could prove its unreality. In the meantime I was cured of chronic sore throat and of poisoning from certain plants, which caused me considerable suffering in my work as a florist.

An outstanding healing was experienced a few years ago while I was trying to overcome a nervous condition. When I went to have my hair cut the hairdresser told me my hair was falling as a result of the nervous difficulty. I did not pay any attention then. Some days later when I went again to him he pointed out several large bald spots on my head and gave me a prescription to apply. I was badly frightened and called a practitioner for help. I soon became calm once more.
