ETERNAL LIFE

Before belief's time-world took form,
Or temporal things seemed true,
Or solar day brought cloud or storm,
Or night obscured Life's view,
Or error's serpentine deceit
Claimed mortal life began,
God saw His universe complete
In perfect spiritual plan.

Truth shining forth in full-orbed day
Effected Mind's intent
To clothe its incorporeal ray
In Love's pure element.
No spurious substance held Life bound,
No limits Life ensphered.
In Spirit's likeness man was found
When heaven and earth appeared.

Idea of the Spirit born
Forevermore must be
The full reflection from Life's morn
Of Soul's irradiancy.
Man's endless Life must now appear
In its unbroken span.
Eternity, Truth's glorious sphere,
Encompasses true man.
