"Tell what this Science does for yourself and will do for others," Mrs. Eddy writes in a letter to her students which appears in an article in The Christian Science Journal of December, 1939. What a happy privilege is ours to bear witness to what Christian Science has done for us!

My introduction to Christian Science came when I was quite young. Though I was not seeking physical healing and felt that I had no particular need of it, I experienced a healing of granulated eyelids simply through reading aloud to a friend the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. The healing was immediate and complete, and it has been permanent. There have been many healings along the way since that time, some of a physical nature and others having to do with the adjustment of human relationships. With each healing have come added mental freedom and dominion. Progress has been mine in the degree that I have learned earnestly to heed the command of Jesus (Matt. 6:33), "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness."

Up to the time of the passing on of my father, I had listened to testimonies of instantaneous healing of grief with mental reservations. I found it difficult to believe that such a healing was possible. However, when I was faced with the problem of grief, it was proved to me in a truly wonderful way that one can experience instant freedom from sorrow or a feeling of loss. I shall always be grateful for the loving help and support of a Christian Science practitioner. Those who have been healed of grief know the peace and joy that come with an understanding of the deathlessness of man as the radiant expression of Life, an understanding which Science brings to its students.
