"THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO"

"Father, forgive them; for
They know not what they do."
If each experience
Of hatred, envy, spite,
Was met so selflessly
And instantly dismissed,
Seen for the ignorance
It always is, how soon
Enlightenment would come
To banish ignorance!

If we would help to bring
Enlightenment and peace,
We shall not imitate
The ways of ignorance,
But in humility
Shall strive to understand
Man is not ignorant;
He cannot but express
The noble nature which
Bespeaks the son of God.
