The Christian Science periodicals are bringing so many blessings to the world today through their articles and testimonies that I should like to add my bit of gratitude for the good I have received through the application of Christian Science.

Mrs. Eddy states on page 411 of Science and Health, "The procuring cause and foundation of all sickness is fear, ignorance, or sin." The following healing resulted when a phase of ignorance was overcome. For some time I felt in my left leg a growing stiffness accompanied by intense pain. I went to the textbooks, the Bible and Science and Health, and studied to know more about the nature of God. With the aid of the Concordances I took up a study of the synonyms of God and conscientiously went through all of them but that of Principle. The pain and stiffness did not abate, however, and I called a practitioner, who took up work for me.

About this time I was expecting guests for a week-end visit. When they arrived, they were surprised that I had been taken with stiffness which caused me to limp noticeably. That night I could hardly breathe because of the pain. After my guests left I called the practitioner again, and she said, "Principle leads ever." I felt nonplussed and crushed, for her statement seemed cold and unsympathetic. Then it dawned on me that it was an angel message. I went to Mrs. Eddy's writings as quickly as I could and took up a study of the synonym "Principle." I kept at it until enlightenment came—and my healing with it. My joy was unbounded.
