GOD'S SPIRITUAL IDEA
"To kindle in all minds a common sentiment of regard for the spiritual idea emanating from the infinite, is a most needful work," writes Mary Baker Eddy on page 1 of her book "No and Yes."
A thoughtful study of what divine Science concludes regarding the nature and office of God's idea inculcates a most reverend and loving regard for it. Being the outcome of Spirit, or Mind, the divine idea must be purely mental and spiritual; it can never be material or corporeal. Obviously, then, the mortal sense of man, beast, or insect is not in reality an idea of God, divine Mind. Indeed, in its fullest and highest sense "the spiritual idea emanating from the infinite" is coincident with the ever-present and forever available living Christ. This Christ, Truth, reveals to human consciousness the healing and regenerating power of divine Principle, Love, which renders null and void the supposititious limitations and baneful suggestions of the carnal mind.
