For more than forty years I have been helped by reading the testimonies in our periodicals. In 1913 my testimony in the Sentinel told of an earlier healing. In the years following, Christian Science has healed me of neuralgia, ptomaine poisoning, and colds.

A desire to sink into oblivion was destroyed when I realized the truth of these words on page 304 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy: "This is the doctrine of Christian Science: that divine Love cannot be deprived of its manifestation, or object." I saw that not for an instant can there be separation between God and His creation. In other words, there is no such thing as oblivion. Later, with the help of a practitioner, insomnia and nervous irritation were healed.

In 1950 heart trouble was overcome when I accepted the truth that we gain immortality not through death, but through Life. A dread of old age and inactivity was overcome at the same time.
