Mark B. McCulloch

The account of healing was given by Mark B. McCulloch of Spokane, Washington, who said:

At one time I suffered a great deal both mentally and physically from a skin disease. It covered much of my body, including part of my face. It was not contagious, but caused me a good deal of misery and made it difficult for me to work in the office.

Being a student of Christian Science, I was sure that Christian Science could heal the condition. For some time there was no visible improvement, but it became clear that several un-Godlike traits of character must be overcome. For one thing, I had to get rid of a stubborn, unteachable attitude. Also, I was irritable much of the time. In my work at the office others would come to me with suggestions to improve our activities, but I paid no attention to their ideas, even though I listened amiably and acted as though I appreciated their interest.
