IT IS NEVER TOO LATE

Occasionally we hear the statement made in everyday experience, "It is too late." The physician visiting a very sick patient, or the businessman considering an unsuccessful business venture, or couples reaching the point of separation are often heard saying: "There is no hope. It is too late."

The Christian Scientist is taught never to yield to this error. Knowing that his God, divine Mind, is ever at hand and forever sustaining His creation, the student of Christian Science rejects every discordant condition as a lie, as the testimony of the material senses, which is never true. He recognizes that the laws of Life, Truth, and Love are ever present and ever active and are sustaining man in a state of eternal harmonious existence. The acceptance and utilization of this spiritual truth are so transforming human consciousness that what are known as the miracles of Jesus are being repeated in present-day experience.

Speaking of the Christ, the great Redeemer of all mankind. Jesus said (Matt. 28:20), "Lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world"—that is, unto the destruction of every lie about man's complete perfection. And the Psalmist, referring to the availability of God's redeeming presence and power, sang (Ps. 139:8—10): "If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me."
