Christian Science has been my only physician for over thirty years. I did not become interested in it for physical healing, but because I was looking for a satisfying religion. However, after reading Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy I became less nervous and more poised. My general health improved, and my happiness increased. I had been underweight, and a physician friend of the family who had examined me had said that if he had not known of my home conditions he would have thought I was suffering from malnutrition. It was spiritual food that I needed, however. In less than a year after I began studying Christian Science I had gained ten pounds.

At one time I injured my right arm below the elbow so badly that it was helpless. I asked for Christian Science treatment and declined material aid. After forty-eight hours I began to use the arm a little; and a few days later I returned to my position as a stenographer, at which time I was able to use the typewriter and perform all my other duties. The healing of the arm was soon complete.

Several years ago in using an electric washer I caught my hand in the wringer. I was able to release it, but the pain was intense. Not wanting to accept sense testimony I refused to look at the hand and wrapped my apron around it. Then I called a practitioner, who lovingly assured me that help in Christian Science would be given immediately.
