Once
every twenty-four hours the inhabitants of this spinning ball of earth which we call our world experience a brief interval during which the light begins to fade, the shadows grow longer, and the soft gray of twilight envelops the earth like some misty garment.

desiring to make decisions that will bless them and promote their spiritual growth may do so by following the example of Jesus and purifying their motives.
How
can one be assured that the Christ is present today?
It
is significant that discovery and invention have invariably stemmed from mental and spiritual awakening, as if some angel had troubled the stagnant waters of human thought with a new inrush of beneficent ideas.
Through
the study of Christian Science many are learning the first important step in purification of the heart, namely, to differentiate correctly between good thoughts—the thoughts of God which constitute real life—and those thoughts which are not good, hence not of God.

I should like to express my gratitude to God for Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who so unselfishly labored to give her revelation of Truth to the world.
I wish to express my deep gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me, and also for the privilege we have of helping each other through the testimonies in our periodicals and at our Wednesday testimony meetings in Churches of Christ, Scientist.
Christian Science was presented to me thirty-eight years ago by one who lovingly invited me to share her home.
Some time ago I read a testimony in The Christian Science Journal telling of the overcoming of extreme fear of enclosed and underground places.
This testimony is to express gratitude for the new life that has come to me as a result of my taking up the study and application of Christian Science.
For many years I have enjoyed the beautiful testimonies given in the Christian Science periodicals, and at this time I wish to submit my own.
Soon after I took up the study of Christian Science about fifty years ago my testimony of gratitude for this wonderful religion was published in the Sentinel.
Christian Science has enriched my experience, improved my outlook, and tended to unself my purpose.
