"To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings." Those first twelve words in the Preface to the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy (p. vii), instantaneously healed me of a nervous breakdown. Two friends, who had been healed in Christian Science, recommended the textbook to me when I was on the verge of insanity. I went to a Reading Room and asked the librarian for the book that healed the sick. She loaned me Science and Health, and my healing followed.

I was so grateful for this healing that I bought a Bible as well as the textbook and the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy. Also I began to study the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly every morning and regularly to attend a Church of Christ, Scientist, in order to learn all I could about the law of God.

During the past twenty years Christian Science has met my every need. Although I have had many physical healings and am grateful for them, the spiritual growth that I have gained is vastly more important to me. Among the healings I have experienced are those of burns and of dislocated shoulders and ankles. A severe claim of arthritis, which had almost completely prevented the use of my right arm and shoulder, was healed in three treatments by a practitioner.
