LEARN IT, KEEP IT, DO IT

[Of Special Interest to Children]

David went to the Christian Science Sunday School, and so, of course, he had been taught the Ten Commandments and had learned that Moses received them from God.

David loved this true story of Moses and never tired of hearing how, when Moses was a baby, his mother had made him a little cradle or ark of rushes and had hidden him among the reeds in the river to protect him from the wicked king. There Moses' sister guarded the baby until the king's daughter found him. It always made David happy that the king's daughter had loved the baby and had him taken to her own home and had hired Moses' own mother to care for the infant.

When Moses had grown to be a man, God chose him to lead the children of Israel out of bondage to the promised land. It was during this journey, while they were at Sinai, that God gave Moses the Ten Commandments and instructed him to teach them to the children of Israel.
