A few years ago I became ill with food poisoning. For three days I tried to bring about a healing through my own understanding of Christian Science. The condition became somewhat better, but it was not healed. On the evening of the third day I called a practitioner and told her what was bothering me. She replied, "I will help you at once."

Then something wonderful occurred. I had not even turned away from the telephone when the healing came. I shall never forget the feeling of freedom which I experienced. I stood there completely amazed. To be sure, I had expected a healing, but its quickness astonished me. Then a Bible passage came to my thought (Hebr. 4:12): "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword." I immediately called the practitioner again to tell her what had occurred, and we both rejoiced in the demonstration of instantaneous healing.

Every day my gratitude goes out to God that He has given us His Christ, as represented by Jesus, and as revealed again through Christian Science, the revelation of our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. I am grateful to all the practitioners, who stand ready to help mankind in its warfare against sickness, sin, and death.
