"AUDIENCE WITH SPIRIT"

The pages of our inspired textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, are replete with spiritual guides directing individual thought to the freedom and dominion befitting us all as sons and daughters of God. These guiding truths are ever unerring in their counsel, for they carry the imprint of the all-knowing Mind and speak to us with divine authority.

The prophets of olden times were so certain of the divine utterance and so eager to give to their people the exact instructions they had received from God that they often prefaced their directions with the words, "Thus saith the Lord." And to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, listening for and receiving divine guidance was a normal, natural experience. Indeed, without such daily counsel from the Father, would she have seen the Christian Science movement, which she founded, withstand successfully the numerous attacks directed by mortal mind against the young organization?

Mrs. Eddy shared with humanity the fruitage of her spiritual revelation and of her enlightened spiritual understanding. She knew that all who seek Truth might have some of the same claims of evil to meet and overcome which she had encountered. The truths which she presents in the textbook—the scientific metaphysical instructions, directions, admonitions, and demonstrable laws—are hourly awakening humanity from the mesmeric dreams termed sin, lack, frustration, disease, and death.
