WALKING WITH GOD

[Of Special Interest to Children]

Walter had begun to attend the Christian Science Sunday School, and he loved to sit in the small red chairs that the children used. Since they sat in a semicircle, he could see all the boys and girls in his class. He loved most, however, the time when the teacher began to tell them Bible stories. When he got home he always told his mother some of the things he had learned. The first sentence he remembered was (I John 4:16), "God is love."

Each Sunday there were wonderful stories about God's love and His care of all children. Walter told his mother about the boy Samuel who heard God's voice and about David, the shepherd boy, who was not afraid to be alone in the hills because God was with him.

Soon Walter was shown the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. The teacher told the children that Mrs. Eddy discovered Christian Science and wrote this book so that all could learn more about our Father-Mother God, who is everpresent Love.
