My first proof that Christian Science...

My first proof that Christian Science heals has been a source of inspiration to me. At the time I was not seeking physical healing, but peace of mind. A friend in the office where I worked knew this and said, "What you need is Christian Science."

Although I had been a medical nurse, I was led to go to a Christian Science practitioner. He read the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly to me each day for a week. Then I purchased the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and began to read it through.

All my life a large growth had been on my face. My friends had advised me to have it removed, and I had considered having this done by medical means; but the doctors said that I had better leave it alone, as it might become worse if its removal was attempted. After three weeks of my reading the textbook the growth completely disappeared. There was not even a scar to show where it had been. My friends and I were amazed.
