Christian Science entered my life nearly forty years ago. Through its teachings I was at once able to discard glasses and have not worn them since. During the epidemic of 1918 my husband was said to be dying of influenza, but I had learned that God, good, alone is man's Life. The Christian Science practitioner whom we asked for help was busy night and day with similar cases and could not come at once, so I read to my husband from our textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy.

By the time the practitioner came my husband was much improved, and he was soon healed, even to the restoration of his hair, much of which had fallen out. The desire for smoking dropped away from him also. He began work again in two weeks and has been well ever since. Our eight-year-old daughter was also healed of influenza. To the amazement of others, her healing was instantaneous.

A second daughter was born harmoniously under circumstances which doctors had said would make it impossible for me to live. When this child was five years old she contracted a severe case of whooping cough and could neither eat nor sleep. In compliance with the law a doctor was called, but she would not take his medicine. We insisted that her Life was God and that it was neither in nor of matter. Through reliance on Science alone she was restored to perfect health.
