Unity Within the Church and Between the Churches

[Extracts from two reports prepared for the Reading Room Division by a branch church board and a committee representing three branch churches, the first relocating and otherwise improving its Reading Room, the second establishing for the first time in its city a jointly sponsored one.]

We are grateful for our experiences in improving the location of our Reading Room, for they show the value of obedience and of willingness to take steps, no matter how small they may seem at the time, to improve that which is at hand. When we were "faithful over a few things" a wonderful abundance was provided, rewarding our sincere desire to help in forwarding the Cause of Christian Science.

For a number of years our members had been searching for a suitable downtown location for our Reading Room, which was located in the church edifice, some distance from the shopping center.
