I wish to express my deep gratitude...

I wish to express my deep gratitude for all the blessings that have come to me through the study and application of Christian Science. This pearl of great price was presented to me while I was a student nurse in a midwesten hospital by the young man who was soon to become my husband. Because of a desire to establish a home where there would be religious unity, I decided to study Christian Science.

For many years I had suffered from an organic disorder, concerning which unfavorable medical laws had been laid down. Because of the pain and fear which I was experiencing, I was willing and eager to seek help in Christian Science. For a period of time, however, I experienced little or no relief. Finally one day, when I received a notice for the renewal of my registration as a medical nurse, I took my stand for full reliance on Christian Science. The notice was thrown away, and so were all the textbooks that I had used while in nurses' training.

When the healing took place I do not know, but several weeks later while attending a Wednesday evening testimony meeting, I realized that I was free. One of the speakers repeated the statement Jesus made at the tomb of Lazarus (John 11:44), "Loose him, and let him go." I knew then that I had been freed by being willing to take a definite and complete stand, relying only on my Father-Mother God for health. This healing has been permanent.
