My healings through the study...

My healings through the study and application of Christian Science have been many. Some have been brought about with the loving help of practitioners and others through my own understanding of the truth. It is with humility that I relate the following experiences.

Before I was willing to rely solely on Christian Science for healing, I had an operation performed for a badly infected finger. Some time later the trouble returned. This time I silenced the suggestion which came to me to see a surgeon, with the determination that I would rely entirely on God, as we are taught to do in Christian Science. I began to apply the slight understanding I had and soon forgot about the finger.

When I thought of it again the pain had ceased, and the swelling was gone. Then the thought came, But the finger should be opened to drain. I quickly declared: "There is no operation but the operation of Truth. God's word is quick and sharper than any surgeon's knife." Later I found a long, deep incision where the finger had opened and drained. The incision closed quickly and left no mark. No material remedies were used at any time. I am grateful for this proof of God's presence and power.
