In the answer [to a correspondent] you say particularly that the basis of Christian Science is as follows: "Scorn disease; ignore it; deny its existence." If such were in fact Christian Science you would be perfectly right in comparing it to a modern form of Stoicism. But Christian Science is really far from that philosophy.
