It was my privilege to attend a Christian Science Sunday School, and for this I am immeasurably grateful. Throughout childhood and adolescence I was greatly protected and blessed by the truths of this practical religion, and I have been ever since.

At college, when the work seemed difficult, verses 5 and 6 from the third chapter of Proverbs, when viewed in the light of Christian Science, became a beacon and a guide to me; and they also were of much help when I was seeking a higher academic education. The blessings of class instruction, understanding companionship, and a happy home have come to me through my learning to trust God. not personal sense.

Our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, tells us (Science and Health, p. 145), "The theology of Christian Science includes healing the sick." I have seen many kinds of problems healed when God has been accepted as our only physician. My mother was healed of a severe case of quinsy sore throat while I read to her from pages 203 to 207 of "Miscellaneous Writings" by Mrs. Eddy. I was healed of a serious case of acute indigestion when it seemed to my mother and brother that I was passing on. The latter was very fearful, but my mother vehemently declared, "God is your Life," and I was finally able to respond, "I hear you, Mother." I have also been healed of colds, skin irritation, a violent temper, burns, warts, and many other erroneous conditions.
