I have had many blessings since taking up the study of Christian Science and am much happier than ever before. I am very grateful for growth in spiritual understanding. As one studies and understands more and more of the teachings of this practical religion, he is better able to apply them intelligently in his daily affairs.

A short time ago I suffered a sudden attack of sciatica. I could scarcely bend over, and it was difficult for me to lie down or to attend to my work. It was only the little knowledge I had of Christian Science that kept me active. For two days I tried to work for myself in Science, and I saw that the cause of my illness was the resentment I had been holding toward another. I endeavored to express more love; and although I knew that the difficulty in no way belonged to man, who is the image and likeness of God, I was not healed.

On the morning of the third day I telephoned a practitioner for help. His words immediately comforted me, and that afternoon I lay down to rest and fell into a deep sleep. When I awoke, I was healed. The following morning, although it was bitterly cold and I had to travel a full hour by bus, I attended a service of a Christian Science Society in a nearby city. It was with a feeling of great joy and gratitude, which still remains in my heart, that I was able to attend that service.
