My gratitude for Christian Science...

My gratitude for Christian Science and for what it has done for me and my family knows no bounds. We have had many healings over a period of twenty-five years, both physical and financial.

Some years ago I went through a series of accidents, which gave me ample opportunity to prove the healing power of Christian Science. My knee, ankle, leg, arm, and shoulder were broken. It seemed wise to have a physician set the kneecap, and I went to a hospital for a few days, but had help from a Christian Science practitioner all the time. The hospital attendants were amazed to see me go home as soon as the cast was put on, and the)' predicted I would soon be back. Needless to say, all the medical claims were reversed. The doctor removed the cast after three weeks, and in four weeks I was walking with the aid of crutches. It took me a little longer to bend my knee and to go upstairs and down normally. The other breaks were healed wholly through Christian Science treatment, and the healings came quickly and completely.

However, these accidents seemed to bring on a physical shock and an anemic condition, which took on many symptoms. The most obvious of these was a great weakness and continual coughing. Also I was unable to eat or sleep very much. The Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy were my constant companions during this time, and I had help from a practitioner most of the time; but the anemic condition did not improve.
